Spear Corps and Assam Rifles Lead Youth Empowerment Drives Across Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Manipur

GUWAHATI | March 21, 2026 — In a concerted effort to mentor the next generation of leaders in Northeast India, the Spear Corps, involving the Dao Healers and Spear Gunners, alongside the Assam Rifles, successfully conducted a series of multi-state awareness and motivational programmes today.

These initiatives, spanning Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Manipur, were strategically designed to foster national pride while providing practical guidance to students in remote and border regions.

By engaging directly with educational institutions, the Indian Army continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the minds of the youth and strengthening the social fabric of the nation.

The outreach included a vital Medical Awareness Programme for students at the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) in Anini, Dibang Valley, ensuring that youth in Arunachal’s high-altitude frontiers are equipped with essential health knowledge.

Simultaneously, in Assam’s Charaideo district, a comprehensive Career Awareness Session was held at B.P.B.M. College, Borhat, offering students a roadmap for professional growth and highlighting opportunities within the armed forces.

Complementing these efforts, a motivational lecture at Hengbung in Manipur’s Senapati district inspired local youth to pursue excellence and contribute to national integration, further solidifying the bond between the “Sentinels of the Northeast” and the local communities they serve.
