Southern Command Chief Reviews Technical Training and Innovation at EME School Vadodara
VADODARA April 3, 2026:- Lt Gen Sandeep Jain, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Command, conducted a high-profile visit to the EME School in Vadodara to evaluate its technical capabilities and strategic initiatives.
During the visit, the Army Commander was extensively briefed on the institution’s key projects, which are meticulously aligned with the Indian Army’s “Decade of Transformation.” The briefing underscored the school’s unwavering commitment to fostering innovation and advancing indigenization through niche technologies.
These efforts are designed to reduce foreign dependencies while ensuring that the technical backbone of the force remains modern, resilient, and self-reliant in the face of evolving global security challenges.In addition to reviewing strategic goals, Lt Gen Sandeep Jain inspected the school’s expansive training infrastructure and was briefed on the integration of contemporary pedagogical methodologies.
The review focused on specialized ongoing courses covering critical sectors such as advanced Armament, Opto-Electronics, and the maintenance of new-generation vehicles and equipment. By focusing on these high-tech domains, the EME School aims to equip personnel with the expertise required to sustain the operational readiness of the Indian Army.
