Sopore Police Observes Police Commemoration Day 2025; Pays Tribute to Brave Martyrs
Sopore, October 21 :- Sopore Police observed Police Commemoration Day 2025 with solemnity and honour at District Police Lines Sopore to pay tribute to the brave police personnel who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.
The event was attended by the MLA Sopore, senior officers of the Army and CRPF, NOKs of police martyrs, members of civil society, and officers from Police District Sopore including Addl. SP Sopore, SDPOs, DySP Ops, and SHOs.
SSP Sopore, Iftkhar Talib-JKPS, laid a floral wreath and paid homage to the martyrs. Two minutes of silence was observed as a mark of respect for the bravehearts who laid down their lives in the service of the nation. Contingents of J&K Police, CRPF, and JKAP presented a silent parade to the beats of the Pipe Band, followed by the ceremonial salute taken by SSP Sopore.
During the address, SSP Sopore said:
“We salute the courage, valour, and supreme sacrifices of our martyrs who laid down their lives in the line of duty. Their legacy continues to inspire every member of the police force to serve with dedication and honour.”
The names of police and CAPF martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the past one year were read out, followed by floral tributes by officers, personnel, and guests. Families of the martyrs were felicitated, and SSP Sopore interacted with them personally, patiently listening to their concerns and assuring redressal.
Sopore Police reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to uphold peace, justice, and the spirit of service, drawing inspiration from the sacrifices of its brave heroes.
