SOPORE, March 06, 2026 — As part of an ongoing and aggressive crackdown on the narcotics trade, the Sopore Police successfully apprehended two drug peddlers and recovered a cache of psychotropic substances during a routine patrol.

A police team operating on the Shallapora-Neharpora link road intercepted a two-wheeler with registration number JK05M-0541, leading to a search and the subsequent seizure of the illegal substances under established legal procedures.

The suspects, identified as Fardeen Majeed of Lalbab Arampora and Aaqib Fayaz Shah of New Colony, Sopore, were taken into custody and shifted to the local police station.
