SIACHEN, Feb 19, 2026 – Strengthening the nation’s high-altitude defense posture, Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, Army Commander of the Northern Command, conducted a comprehensive visit to the Siachen Brigade to review combat potential and operational preparedness in the world’s most challenging terrain.
During his visit to the Siachen Ski Node, the Northern Army Commander evaluated specialized training infrastructure and skiing capabilities, personally interacting with troops stationed under extreme climatic conditions to boost morale.
