Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra will be temporarily halted from October 5 to October 7 due to unfavorable weather

KATRA, 03 October:- The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) has announced a three-day temporary halt to the revered Vaishno Devi Yatra due to a severe weather advisory, a significant development that will impact thousands of pilgrims. The purpose of this decision is to safeguard attendees’ safety and wellbeing.

Earlier today, the news was formally disseminated on the social media site ‘X’ (formerly Twitter). The announcement states that the Yatra will be halted beginning on October 5, 2025, and will recommence on October 8, 2025. A final assessment of the weather at that time will determine when the restart will take place.

The official communication from the Shrine Board concluded with an advisory for pilgrims, urging them to “stay updated through official channels” for any further developments or changes to the schedule. Devotees planning their journey are being advised to monitor the Shrine Board’s official website and its verified social media handles for real-time updates rather than relying on unofficial sources.
