Shopian Police Conducts National Unity day Parade
Shopian 31 October :- As part of the observance of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) and to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India, Shopian Police today organized an impressive Ekta Diwas Parade and Pledge Ceremony at District Police Lines (DPL) Shopian.
The event commenced with the Run for Unity, followed by a grand parade and the Rashtriya Ekta Pledge, reaffirming the collective resolve of police personnel towards maintaining national integrity, peace and unity.
On the occasion, SSP Shopian, Mushtaq Ahmad Choudhary-JKPS, administered the Rashtriya Ekta Pledge to officers, officials and participants. He urged everyone to uphold the values of unity, harmony, and national integration as envisioned by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.As a mark of profound respect for his unmatched contribution to the unity and integrity of the nation, the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was adorned with rich tributes and floral offerings by the officers and officials.
The parade was commanded by Prob. DySP Surinder Kumar-JKPS, with contingents from JKP, CRPF 14th Battalion, Homeguard and NCC (Degree College Shopian) participating with great enthusiasm. The contingents’ march past showcased remarkable discipline, synchronization and patriotic fervor symbolizing a strong message of solidarity and national cohesion.
Shopian Police reiterated its unwavering commitment to fostering unity, peace and communal harmony in the true spirit of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas.
