Jammu February 14,2026 :-“Conspiracies are being hatched to dim the luster of Jammu and Kashmir, known as the crown of the nation. After stripping it of its statehood and privileges, our economic existence is now being attacked under the guise of trade agreements.”
This scathing attack was made by Manish Sahni, head of the Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu and Kashmir unit, during a protest today.Shiv Sainiks gathered at Indira Chowk in Jammu expressed their anger with loud slogans, holding placards that read, “The slogan ‘Make in India’ is false, the trade agreement has looted our own people,” and “Foreign agreements are not acceptable.” , “Save Kashmir’s orchardists.
“In his address, Sahni said that in the name of the trade agreement with America, our apple, walnut, and almond producers are being stabbed in the back. The arrival of Washington apples and California almonds into Indian markets without adequate taxes will ruin local farmers.
“This agreement is an international conspiracy to economically cripple our farmers.”He further said that the “full statehood” status, which was snatched away in August 2019, remains a mirage. The people, who have suffered terrorism for three and a half decades, are now being pushed into economic crisis.
