Udhampur 17 December :- A search operation was launched by security forces in the forested Majalta-Masar area of Udhampur district following reports from villagers of three unidentified individuals on Tuesday evening.
According to local accounts, a resident working in a remote spot observed three strangers with backpacks and sticks; one was standing while the other two were seated. The group allegedly gestured toward the witness before hastily retreating into the thick woodland.
The information was promptly relayed to the police. Personnel from multiple security agencies swiftly cordoned off the zone and have been carrying out an intensive combing operation through the night and into Wednesday.
Authorities maintain a high alert in the area but note that the nature and intentions of the individuals remain unconfirmed as the search continues.
