Security forces busted major Terrorists hide out, Arms ammunition recovered

Handwara 21 November :- Security forces on friday busted an Major Terrorist hide out in Handwara, large haul of arms and Ammunition Recovered.

As Per Reports acting on specific intelligence, Handwara Police and the Naugam Brigade of the Indian Army launched a joint operation in the Neeriyan forest area along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Nowgam sector.

During the search, the joint team busted a major Terrorist hideout, leading to the recovery of the following arms and ammunition: Two M-series assault rifles with four magazines,Two Chinese pistols with three magazines,Two hand grenades, A quantity of live rounds.

Following the recovery, FIR No. 39/2025 has been registered at Police Station Qalamabad, and further investigation has been set into motion.

Security forces reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining peace, ensuring public safety, and upholding a terror-free and drug-free society.
