Samba 09 October : Samba Police has seized approximately 12 quintals adulterated paneer from two vehicles in the jurisdiction of Police Post Rajpura falling under Police Station Ghagwal.Acting on specific information, a team of Police Post Rajpura laid a naka near PP Rajpura and intercepted Swift Car bearing registration No. PBO6AL-2806 Swift car & Tata Innova Car bearing registration No. HR39B-0400.
During checking,approximately 08 quintals of paneer was recovered from Innova car whereas approximately 04 quintals of paneer was recovered from Swift car. The vehicles were moving from Punjab to Jammu side via border road. Police has seized both the vehicles on the spot.
Accordingly, the matter was taken up with the Food Safety Department who has conducted on spot sampling and found that the recovered paneer was adulterated and unfit for human consumption.
