Samba Police observed National Police Day , Paid rich tribute to Martyrs
Samba 21 October : National Police Day was observed by Samba Police in District Police Lines, Samba in which a Police Commemoration Day Parade was held in the loving memory of Martyrs who had made supreme sacrifice of their lives while guarding the sovereignty, integrity and territory of the nation.
The Sr. Superintendent of Police, Samba Virinder Singh Manhas, JKPS readout the names of the Martyrs and took the salute of the Commemoration Day Parade in the honour of martyrs who attained martyrdom in the service of the nation. Thereafter, SSP Samba along with NoKs of Martyrs, Officers of Civil Admn. /Police/ Security forces, Retired Police Officers and prominent citizens present on the occasion paid floral tribute to Police Martyrs at Martyr’s Memorial, DPL Samba.
Later, an interaction was held by SSP Samba with the NoK’s of Martyrs and assured them of every possible help from Samba Police. The family members of Police Martyrs also visited the Police Martyrs Gallery at DPL Samba. The gift items were also distributed among the families of Police Martyrs on the occasion.
