Run for Unity” Organised Across District Udhampur to Mark Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s Birth Anniversary

Udhampur, 31 October :- To commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the architect of national integration, a “Run for Unity” was organised with great enthusiasm across District Udhampur. The event aimed to promote the values of unity, peace and harmony among citizens.

The main event was jointly flagged off by Saloni Rai (IAS), Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, and Amod Nagpure (IPS), SSP Udhampur from the Mini Stadium Udhampur. The run concluded at the Government Degree College (GDC) Udhampur, with hundreds of students, police personnel and locals participating with zeal and patriotic fervour.

Addressing the participants, the dignitaries highlighted the significance of collective strength, national unity and social harmony for the overall progress and prosperity of the nation. Participants were lauded for their active involvement and spirited participation.

Later, a parade was also organised at the District Police Lines (DPL) Udhampur where officers reiterated their commitment to upholding peace and unity in society.In addition to the central event, similar “Run for Unity” programmes were held in all police units across District Udhampur, witnessing enthusiastic participation from police officers and personnel, who pledged to carry forward the legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
