Rescue & relief ops underway in Makwal
Jammu 27 August :- Devastating floods struck the Jammu Region on 25/26 Aug 25, submerging vast areas and causing widespread disruption to the lives of inhabitants.A Flood Relief Column of Indian Army’s White Knight Corps , in concert with BSF Jammu was deployed late night on 26 Aug despite adverse flood conditions to rescue stranded BSF personnel in the general area of Makwa.
Engineer troops employed all available expedients to navigate strong currents, successfully linking up with the stranded personnel and bringing them to safety. In addition, the team evacuated nine civilians, including children, trapped in inundated homes and relocated them to secure locations.The #IndianArmy troops of #WhiteKnightCorps once again demonstrated their mettle as first responders in the Jammu Region, dedicated to serving people in distress.
