Republic Day 2026: LG Manoj Sinha to Lead Main Celebrations at Jammu’s Maulana Azad Stadium

Jammu, January 8, 2026 : The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued an official circular outlining the preparations for the upcoming Republic Day 2026 celebrations, which will be centered at the Maulana Azad Stadium in Jammu.

According to the directive issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will preside over the main event and take the ceremonial salute.

In a move to ensure full state participation, the government has mandated the attendance of all officers and officials from various departments and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) stationed in Jammu, categorizing their presence as a mandatory part of their official duty.

Heads of Departments and Chief Executives have been specifically tasked with ensuring both their own participation and that of their subordinate staff to mark the national occasion with due solemnity.
