Reasi 10th August :- In strict enforcement of the ban imposed by District Magistrate Reasi on the procurement, stocking, sale and use of nylon thread (commonly known as Gattu), District Police Reasi today conducted market checking in the town area.
During the inspection, one lady identified as Suman Balli wife of Khush Kumar resident of Ward No. 10, Reasi was found selling the banned nylon thread at her shop. Acting promptly, the police seized the prohibited material from the spot.
In this regard, FIR No. 135/2025 U/S 223 BNS has been registered at Police Station Reasi, and investigation into the matter has been initiated.

The general public is advised to refrain from selling, purchasing or using nylon strings and to immediately inform the police about any violations.
