Reasi Police organizes Run for Unity to commemorate Sardar Patel’s 150th Birth Anniversary at Katra
Reasi 31 October :- As part of the nationwide observance of National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas), District Police Reasi today organized a spirited “ Run for Unity “ in Katra to honor the 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Ballabhbhai Patel.
The event was flagged off by SP Katra Vipan Chadran and Vice Chancellor SMVD University , Pragati Kumar in the Presence of SDPO Katra , Incharge Police Post Banganga , Karkyal faculty members of SMVD University and other dignitaries.
The run witnessed overwhelming public participation, with around 150 enthusiastic participants joining the cause — including police personnel, students and faculty of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, NCC cadets, students from DPS School Katra, and local youth. Their energetic involvement reflected collective respect and admiration for Sardar Patel’s unmatched role in unifying the nation.
The event reinforced the message of National Unity , solidarity and community collaboration ,while encouraging citizens to remain committed to the nation’s integrity and harmony.
