Rangoli making competition on eco friendly India combine-patriotism with environment held at GCW Udhampur

UDHAMPUR 13th August :- Department of Botany ,Government  College for Women(GCW) Udhampur organized Rangoli Making competition on the theme eco-friendly India-combine patriotism with environment awareness on today under the aegis of IQAC of the college.

The programme was organized under the patronage and guidance of the Principal of the college Dr Nalini Pathania. The  formal welcome address was presented  by Prof Anita Gupta ,Head of the Department. She stressed upon the importance of such an event to foster Patriotism and unity among the students.

The proceedings of the programme was conducted by Dr. Yash Paul Singh.About 20 students in 5 groups of BSc major and minor of sem 5th participated in the event. The student participated enthusiastically in this event and  made colourful Rangoli  by using Petals  of Hibiscus , Theviatia , Tagetus, abernaemontana , Rose ,leaves of Mango, Bay  and Araucaria ;  Pulses of various colour, wheat flour and rice grains on the  79th  Independence Day. Certificates of Appreciation were distributed among the participants.

Head of the department motivated the participants by appreciating their efforts and for showing their skill in making eco-friendly rangiloies. Principal of the college appreciated the efforts of students and Staff.  Prof Rewa Lakhnotra , Prof Meenakshi Jamwal  and Prof Neha Anthal graced the occasion.
