Ramban Police Intensify Anti-Drug Drive: Peddler Arrested with Contraband in Ramsoo Crackdown
RAMSOO, Feb 19, 2026 – In a significant strike against local narcotics networks, the Ramban Police successfully apprehended a suspected drug peddler and recovered a substantial quantity of a Charas-like substance in the Magarkot area.
Acting on precise intelligence received on February 18, a specialized team from the Ramsoo Police Station intercepted Arshad Ahmed, son of Nazir Ahmed and resident of Dhanmasta, who was allegedly transporting narcotics for sale within the community.
During a formal search conducted in the presence of the Executive Magistrate 1st Class (EMIC), authorities seized approximately 104 grams of the illicit substance, following all prescribed legal protocols.
Consequently, FIR No. 09/2026 has been registered under Sections 8/20 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, with an active investigation now underway to dismantle the broader supply chain and distribution network.
