NEW DELHI, Jan 18, 2026 — Raksha Rajya Mantri Sanjay Seth visited the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day Camp at Delhi Cantt today, where he hailed the youth as the “living bridge” connecting India’s storied history with its future potential. Upon his arrival, the Minister was greeted with a formal Guard of Honour and a musical performance by the band from The Scindia School, Gwalior. In his address, he emphasized that Republic Day serves as a profound tribute to the Indian Constitution and the nation’s freedom fighters, noting that the camp itself is a testament to the discipline and leadership inherent in the country’s younger generation.
During the interaction, Sanjay Seth urged cadets to embrace a “Swadeshi” mindset and support indigenous growth, pointing to the massive surge in Indian startups—which have grown from 800 to over two lakhs under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He specifically recognized the endurance of 15 cadets who completed the 1,300 km Veer Birsa Munda Cyclothon from Ranchi to Delhi, as well as the 10 cadets who successfully summited Mount Everest in 2025. These achievements, he noted, are vital examples of the national integration and bravery that the NCC instills in its members.
The visit concluded with a tour of the ‘Flag Area,’ featuring social awareness displays from 17 Directorates, and the ‘Hall of Fame,’ which documents the NCC’s historical milestones. Sanjay Seth called on the cadets to remain steadfast in their duty and patriotism as they work toward the goal of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) by 2047. He extended his gratitude to the instructors and officers for their role in mentoring future leaders and appealed to all present to serve the nation with integrity and uphold the dignity of the Tiranga.
