RAJOURI, Feb 05, 2026 – Intensifying its crackdown on the financial backbone of drug trafficking, the Rajouri Police has officially attached immovable property worth over ₹20.37 lakh belonging to a notorious narcotics accused.
The attachment, carried out under the stringent Section 68-F of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, involves a single-storey residential house located at Rampur Talwal (Peer Kanju).
The property is owned by Nahid Choudhary, son of Mohd Shafi, a resident of Tehsil and District Rajouri, who was previously arrested in connection with FIR No. 605/2025 registered at Police Station Rajouri under Sections 8, 21, 22, and 29 of the NDPS Act.
This proactive legal measure follows due procedure and underscores the commitment of the District Police Office, Rajouri, to dismantle the assets of those involved in the illegal drug trade. By targeting the proceeds of crime, the police aim to deter others from engaging in narcotics-related offenses.
Rajouri Police has reiterated its firm stance against drug peddling, warning that stringent legal actions—including the seizure and attachment of illegally acquired properties—will continue against any individuals found undermining the safety and health of the community.
