Rahul Gandhi Honors Congress Legacy and Vows to Protect Constitutional Values on Foundation Day

NEW DELHI, DECEMBER 28: On the occasion of the Indian National Congress’s Foundation Day, Leader of Opposition and senior party leader Rahul Gandhi extended his heartfelt greetings to party workers while reaffirming his commitment to the nation’s democratic principles.

In a poignant message shared on social media, Gandhi paid tribute to the historic legacy and the monumental sacrifices of those who secured India’s independence and laid the bedrock of the Constitution. He emphasized that the party has historically served as the guardian of democracy, secularism, social justice, and equality—values he believes are essential to the fabric of the country.

Describing the Congress as more than just a political organization, Gandhi characterized it as the “voice of India’s soul,” standing firmly in support of the weak, the marginalized, and the hardworking citizens. He used the milestone anniversary to issue a resolute pledge to fight against what he termed as “hatred, injustice, and dictatorship.”

Highlighting the path ahead, the senior leader stated that the struggle to protect truth, courage, and the Constitution would be fought with renewed strength. Concluding his message with “Jai Hind” and “Jai Congress,” Gandhi called upon his supporters to stay dedicated to the founding ideals that continue to define the party’s mission in modern India.
