Punjab Police busted a cross Border Arms smuggling module with Pak links

Amritsar 04 November :- In a major breakthrough, Amritsar Rural Police busts a Cross-Border Arms Smuggling Module with links to Pakistan and recovers a cache of sophisticated weapons from village Ghonewal, PS Ramdas, near the Ravi river close to the Indo-Pak border.

Recovery: 2 AK-series assault rifles with 8 magazines, 1 pistol (.30 bore) with 2 magazines, 50 live cartridges (.30 bore) & 245 live cartridges (7.62 mm)The prompt and alert action has averted a major incident, especially in view of recent inputs regarding increased activity of Pak-sponsored terrorists and inter-gang rivalries in border areas.

Further investigation is underway to expose the full nexus, including the backward and forward linkages of the network.
