PULWAMA, DECEMBER 25, 2025: In a major push toward proactive and community-centric policing, the Pulwama Police organized Thana Diwas events across all police establishments in the district today.
Chaired by jurisdictional officers, these sessions brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including public representatives, Auqaf Committees, trade and transport associations, and civil society members to discuss pressing local issues. Officials addressed a variety of public concerns, promising that grievances within the police’s mandate would be prioritized, while issues pertaining to other government departments would be formally communicated to the relevant authorities for swift resolution.
The interactive sessions served as a platform for police to solicit public cooperation in maintaining regional peace and identifying anti-social elements. Citizens were specifically urged to assist law enforcement in tracking down individuals involved in narcotics smuggling and other unlawful activities.
Participants lauded the initiative, noting that such transparent dialogues are instrumental in building trust and enhancing public confidence in the police force. Reaffirming their commitment to a people-friendly approach, the Pulwama Police emphasized that these regular interactions are key to ensuring long-term harmony and security across the district.
