Pulwama 23 August :- District Police Pulwama, in collaboration with Save Youth Save Future and Government Degree College for Women Pulwama, today organised a special programme titled “She Leads” aimed at recognising women achievers, empowering young women, and providing them a platform to showcase their leadership potential.
SSP Pulwama PD Nitya-IPS graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and interacted with the participants. In her address, she highlighted the importance of women’s leadership in the contemporary world and motivated young girls to actively participate in different fields of life with confidence and determination. She emphasised that women have always played a vital role in the progress of society and stressed the need for ensuring equal opportunities for them to lead.The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation of female students, faculty members, civil society representatives, and senior officers/officials from Pulwama Police.
Various sessions were held on women’s rights, leadership skills, and the role of women in social development. As a token of encouragement, mementos were presented to participants and contributors by SSP Pulwama, who appreciated their active involvement in making the event a success.
The initiative “She Leads” is part of District Police Pulwama’s continuous outreach efforts to strengthen police-public relations and to promote women empowerment in the district. Participants lauded the efforts of District Police Pulwama and expressed that such initiatives provide motivation, confidence, and opportunities for young women to emerge as leaders of tomorrow.
