Pulwama | December 31, 2025 :- In a major legal victory against terror ecosystems, the Jammu and Kashmir Police in Pulwama have secured the conviction of three individuals involved in providing shelter and logistics to a banned terrorist organization.
The verdict was delivered by the Special Court designated under the NIA Act in Pulwama, stemming from a 2022 investigation registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), the Arms Act, and the Indian Penal Code.
This conviction marks a significant milestone in the judicial pursuit of those who facilitate terrorism through clandestine support networks.The court found the accused guilty of multiple charges related to assisting proscribed groups.
Mehraj Ud Din Mir was convicted under Sections 19 and 39 of the UA(P) Act, receiving a sentence of three years and ten months of imprisonment along with a financial penalty. Similarly, Firdous Ahmad Bhat and Irshad Ahmad Malik were convicted under Section 39 of the UA(P) Act and sentenced to three years and ten months of imprisonment each.
The court ruled that the sentences for the counts would run concurrently, with the time already spent in custody to be set off against their final terms.This judicial outcome is the result of a meticulously detailed professional investigation and a robust prosecution strategy led by the Pulwama Police.
