Property of Notorious Drug Peddler Worth ₹15 Lakhs Attached by Udhampur Police

Udhampur, 16 September In a major action against drug trafficking, Udhampur Police has attached property worth ₹15 Lakhs under the NDPS Act during investigation of backward linkages in FIR No. 163/2024 U/S 8/21, 29 NDPS Act of PS Chenani.

Earlier, property worth ₹10 Lakhs linked to the same case had also been attached.The accused namely Zaheer Ahmed S/o Mohd Ashraf Mughal R/o Khawapora, District Kupwara a notorious drug peddler with a history of smuggling contraband and selling it among the youth of the district was found to have acquired the said property through illicit drug trade.

Acting under Sections 68-E & 68-F of the NDPS Act, police attached the property, which cannot be sold, transferred, or dealt with without approval of the competent authority.
