Project Sampark Celebrates 51st Raising Day: Honoring Five Decades of Strategic Infrastructure Excellence

JAMMU, JAMMU & KASHMIR — March 15, 2026 — Project Sampark of the Border Roads Organization (BRO) celebrated its 51st Raising Day with immense pride and enthusiasm in Jammu on March 14, 2026.

Established on January 1, 1975, the project has been instrumental in developing and maintaining critical road infrastructure south of the Pir Panjal ranges, covering Jammu and Kashmir as well as contiguous border areas of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh.

During the ceremony, Chief Engineer Brigadier RK Mishra highlighted the project’s pivotal milestones in nation-building and commended the personnel for their exemplary service in challenging terrains.

The celebrations featured a vibrant array of cultural programs, sports events, and a traditional Barakhana, fostering a deep sense of camaraderie among all ranks and their families.

As a vital contributor to both strategic defense needs and regional socio-economic growth, Project Sampark reaffirmed its commitment to the BRO motto, “Shramena Sarvam Sadhyam” (Everything is achievable through hard work), pledging to continue its mission of constructing bridges, tunnels, and roads that serve as the lifeline of the nation.
