Plantation Drive under Seva Parv held at GCW Udhampur
UDHAMPUR SEPTEMBER 22, 2025: In a significant step towards environmental conservation and sustainability, the 6 J&K Battalion NCC, Udhampur, 9 J&K Battalion NCC, Srinagar and Eco-Club of Govt.College for Women(GCW), Udhampur, organized a comprehensive plantation drive as part of the ongoing Seva Parv initiative.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members, who actively engaged in planting saplings across the campus. NCC Cadets and students showcased their commitment to environmental conservation, demonstrating a keen understanding of the importance of sustainability and community service.
Prof. (Dr.) Nalini Pathania, Principal of Govt. College for Women,Udhampur, emphasized the crucial role of plantation drives in combating climate change and promoting a greener future. She highlighted the significance of collective efforts in protecting the environment and inspiring others to adopt eco-friendly practices.The plantation drive was meticulously coordinated by Lt. Kamaldeep (ANO, 6 J&K Battalion), Lt. Kusha (ANO, 9 J&K Battalion), Dr. Neha Antal (Convener, Eco-Club), and members of the Eco-Club, including Prof. Pooja Bharti, Dr. Swati Dutt, and Prof. Yash Kumar.Through this initiative, the students and staff of Govt. College for women, Udhampur, reaffirmed their dedication to Seva Parv initiatives,fostering a sense of responsibility and environmental stewardship along the youth.The event served as a platform for promoting environmental awareness,sustainability, and community service, aligning with the broader objectives of the Seva Parv initiative.
