Jammu 20th August :- Through sustained and hectic efforts, Police Station Pacca Danga successfully compelled an absconding accused, Afroza Bano @ Shazana D/o Mohd. Younis, to surrender before the Hon’ble Court.
She was wanted in connection with FIR No. 67/2020 U/S 380/454/201 IPC of P/S Pacca Danga.Proceedings under Section 512 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) had been initiated against her after she deliberately avoided arrest despite repeated efforts by the police at her residence, native village, and other likely hideouts.
Reliable sources confirmed that she had absconded to evade due process of law.Following a detailed compliance report submitted to the Court, the police action ultimately led to her appearance, and the Non-Bailable Warrant issued against her was recalled.
The Jammu Police assures the public that all absconders and proclaimed offenders will be relentlessly pursued and brought to justice. Strict legal measures, including proceedings under Section 512 CrPC, will be taken to uphold the rule of law.”
