Operation Trashi-I: Security Forces Neutralize One Terrorist in Fierce Kishtwar Encounter
KISHTWAR, February 4, 2026 — In a major development in the ongoing counter-terror offensive in the Kishtwar region, the Indian Army’s White Knight Corps (16 Corps) confirmed the neutralization of one terrorist during a high-stakes engagement today.
Operation Trashi-I, a joint tactical mission involving the troops of CIF (Delta) Force, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and the CRPF, re-established contact with a group of fleeing terrorists at approximately 5:45 PM in the general area of Dichhar.
The operation, conducted in dense forests and extremely challenging terrain, is part of a sustained effort to eliminate active terror elements in the region following multiple recent contacts.
Military officials confirmed that while one terrorist has been successfully eliminated, the operation remains in progress as security forces continue to scour the rugged landscape for remaining Terrorists.
