Ramban 31 August :- In a hands-on approach to assessing the critical situation on the National Highway, Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, today travelled via road to Ramban to take stock of the condition of the vital artery and the ongoing restoration works.
The Chief Minister is conducting an on-the-spot review of the extensive damage caused by recent adverse weather conditions, including landslides and shooting stones, that have severely impacted connectivity in the region.
During his visit, he is closely inspecting the progress of the clearance operations being undertaken by various agencies, seeking detailed briefings from engineers and officials on the ground about the challenges faced and the expected timeline for restoring smooth traffic flow.
Stressing the highway’s paramount importance for the movement of essential supplies and passengers, the Chief Minister is directing officials to expedite the work with all available resources while ensuring the safety of the personnel involved.
