Northern Command Investiture Ceremony 2026: Indian Army to Honor Bravehearts in Udhampur
JAMMU, India — March 26, 2026The Indian Army’s Northern Command is set to host its prestigious Investiture Ceremony 2026 on March 28 at the Command Headquarters in Udhampur.
This solemn event is dedicated to honoring the exceptional courage, distinguished service, and unwavering commitment of soldiers and units who have gone above and beyond the call of duty.
During the ceremony, a total of 92 awards will be conferred, including 51 individual gallantry and distinguished service awards, alongside 41 unit citations.
These accolades recognize exemplary performance across various operational domains, with a specific focus on the successes of Operation Sindoor, highlighting the Army’s professional mastery in arduous and high-stakes environments.
The honors will be presented by Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, SYSM, PVSM, AVSM, SM, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) of the Northern Command.
