Northern Army Commander Visits Kishtwar Following Successful Elimination of Three Terrorists in Op TRASHI-I

KISHTWAR, J&K — February 24, 2026:- In a significant show of support for front-line troops, Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, the Northern Army Commander, visited Kishtwar today following the successful conclusion of Operation TRASHI-I. The high-stakes counter-terrorist operation resulted in the successful elimination of three Pakistan-sponsored terrorists who were operating in the region.

During his visit, the Army Commander received a comprehensive briefing on the tactical execution of the mission and the security grid currently in place to maintain regional stability.

While interacting with the personnel on the ground, Lt Gen Sharma commended the troops for their swift and precise action, which prevented potential threats to the local population.
