Northern Army Commander Reviews Drone Expertise Centre; Focuses on Future Warfare Readiness

UDHAMPUR, January 12, 2026 – Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Northern Command, conducted a high-level visit to the Centre of Expertise for Drone Fabrication, Maintenance, and Repairs to evaluate the facility’s role in modern military operations.

During the visit, the Army Commander performed a comprehensive review of the specialized repair and maintenance infrastructure, emphasizing that these facilities are essential for sustaining the military’s technological edge and ensuring constant operational readiness.

He lauded the professionalism and technical ingenuity demonstrated by all ranks, noting that their high level of skill is a vital contribution to maintaining equipment serviceability.
