Northern Army Command Visits Sunderbani After Successful ‘Operation Jwala’ Foils Infiltration Attempt

SUNDERBANI, Feb 21: Following the successful neutralisation of a cross-border infiltration attempt, Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) of the Northern Command, visited the Sunderbani Sector to review the security situation.

The visit follows the conclusion of Operation Jwala, a high-stakes tactical mission that effectively thwarted an infiltration bid along the Line of Control. During the operation, Indian Army troops successfully recovered a significant cache of war-like stores, preventing potential terror activities in the region and reinforcing the dense security grid maintained by the Army Commander NC.

During his visit, the Army Commander interacted with the brave personnel on the ground, commending them for their swift and precise action under challenging conditions. He lauded the troops for their high degree of professionalism and unwavering commitment to national security.

Reaffirming the military’s dedication to a terror-free Jammu and Kashmir, Lt Gen Sharma emphasized that the steadfast resolve shown during #OpJwala is a testament to the Army’s readiness to dismantle any threats to regional peace.
