New School Timings in Kashmir Division Effective from April 1

SRINAGAR, MARCH 30: The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has officially announced a revision in school timings for all government and recognized private educational institutions across the Kashmir division, effective from April 1.

According to the directive issued under order number 119-DSEK of 2026, schools located within the Srinagar municipal limits will now operate from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

For institutions situated outside the Srinagar municipal limits and in other districts across the Kashmir division, the new functional hours have been set from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

The Directorate has instructed all school heads and concerned authorities to ensure strict implementation of these revised timings, emphasizing that any deviation from the prescribed schedule will not be permitted.
