Special Secretary Home attended closing ceremony, visited stalls & gave away momentos
Jammu, Sept 24: Three-day mega exhibition on new criminal laws organized by EOW Crime Branch Jammu concluded today with a grand closing ceremony where Special Secretary Home J&K UT , Ranjit Singh was present as the chief guest .

Over ten thousand persons from all walks of life including students, scholars, educationists, experts, probationary officers and knowledge-seeker officials of different departments participated in three days in the highly educative exhibition on NCL held first time at Jammu on the directions of MHA, Government of India and under the supervision of DGP J&K Nalin Prabhat IPS & IGP Crime J&K Sujit Kumar Singh IPS.
Special Secretary Home, Ranjit Singh in his address said that not only the implementing agencies, but also the people should be sensitized about the new criminal laws. Colonial laws have now been replaced with new criminal laws with the objective to give justice to the victims without inordinate delay and to bring perpetrators of crime to book using digital evidence in addition to documentary & oral evidence. Such kind of exhibitions would be organized at district levels as well . He appreciated the role of Crime Branch for organising a mega exhibition in which all agencies concerned with implementation of new criminal laws on ground displayed their stalls showcasing their functioning & achievements.
SSP Benam Tosh, the nodal officer, has thanked the people, heads of schools, colleges, universities, media and sister agencies for providing full support to make this big event a great success.
Public is showering praises upon the government and police for organizing large scale informative exhibition.
