NCC Republic Day Camp 2026 Begins in Delhi with Record Participation of 2,406 Cadets

NEW DELHI | December 30, 2025:- The prestigious National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2026 officially commenced today at the Cariappa Parade Ground, Delhi Cantt, marked by the traditional and inclusive “Sarv Dharm Pooja.”

This year’s camp sees a historic turnout with a record 2,406 cadets, including an unprecedented 898 girl cadets, representing all 28 States and 8 Union Territories. The month-long event will feature high-stakes inter-directorate competitions, including the Best Cadet contest, small arms firing, and the preparation of marching contingents for the Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path.

Additionally, the camp will host officers and cadets from 25 Friendly Foreign Countries (FFCs) under the Youth Exchange Programme (YEP), fostering international camaraderie and cultural understanding.

During the inaugural ceremony, Lieutenant General Virendra Vats, Director General of the NCC, congratulated the selected cadets and exhorted them to embody the virtues of integrity, selfless service, and teamwork. Emphasizing the camp’s role in nation-building, he urged participants to rise above barriers of religion, language, and caste to uphold the spirit of “Nation First.”

Through a rigorous schedule of training, flag area designing, and cultural exchanges, the RDC 2026 aims to reinforce the NCC motto of “Unity and Discipline,” instilling a profound sense of patriotism and leadership in the youth leaders of tomorrow.
