Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir: Rajouri Police and District Administration Lead Mass Padyatra Against Drug Abuse

RAJOURI, APRIL 11, 2026 — In a robust display of community solidarity, the Rajouri Police and the District Administration joined forces to organize a series of district-wide padyatras (processions) as part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan.

The initiative, aimed at eradicating the growing menace of narcotics, saw active participation from a large number of district officers, civil society members, and local citizens.

These marches were conducted across various strategic locations to raise public awareness regarding the devastating physical and social impacts of drug addiction, fostering a collective resolve to build a healthier, drug-free society.

A central highlight of the program was the formal pledge-taking ceremony, where participants vowed to fight against drug abuse and contribute proactively to the Union Territory’s mission of becoming narcotics-free.

This massive outreach effort is part of a broader, intensive drive launched across Jammu and Kashmir to curb substance abuse through both community engagement and strict enforcement.

Reaffirming their stance, the Rajouri Police stated that they will continue to pair these high-visibility awareness programs with rigorous legal action to ensure the complete elimination of the drug trade from the region.
