*RAJOURI, APRIL 10, 2026 — In a robust effort to combat the growing menace of substance abuse, the Rajouri Police, in collaboration with the District Administration and the Education Department, organized a series of large-scale drug awareness rallies across Rajouri Town and Darhal.

Conducted under the national Nasha Mukt Bharat (Addiction-Free India) initiative, the event saw a massive turnout of students, educators, and police personnel. Participants marched through key thoroughfares carrying placards and chanting slogans aimed at educating the public on the devastating physical, social, and psychological impacts of narcotics.

The primary objective of these rallies was to sensitize the local youth and the broader community to the dangers of addiction, fostering a collective commitment to “Say No to Drugs.” By navigating through various residential and commercial hubs, the procession successfully drew the attention of local residents, urging them to act as vigilant stakeholders in the fight against drug misuse.

District officials emphasized that such community-led initiatives are vital for creating a resilient, drug-free environment and ensuring that the consequences of drug abuse are understood by every section of society.
