NEW DELHI, FEB 10, 2026: In a significant push for regional modernization, J&K BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma CA championed the cause of sustainable urban infrastructure and rural economic empowerment during today’s parliamentary proceedings.
Addressing the House through a series of high-impact queries, Sharma secured detailed roadmaps from the Union Ministries regarding the Comprehensive Mobility Plan (CMP) for Jammu city, which aims to overhaul urban transport through integrated transit-oriented development and the immediate deployment of 100 electric buses under the PM eBus Sewa Scheme to mitigate congestion.
Parallel to urban reforms, Sharma highlighted the success of the SFURTI scheme in J&K, prompting Union MSME Minister Shobha Karandlaje to reveal that six dedicated Khadi and Village Industries clusters are currently revitalizing districts like Ramban, Doda, and Baramulla.
With over ₹501.64 lakh released under the Khadi Gramodyog Vikas Yojana in the last three years, Sharma emphasized that these strategic federal interventions are pivotal in creating sustainable livelihoods for rural artisans and women, reinforcing a vision of inclusive growth and future-ready infrastructure for the Union Territory.
