MLA Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Mir Condemns Attack on Farooq Abdullah; Demands Probe into Security Lapse

Srinagar 12 March :- MLA Rajpora, Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Mir, has issued a scathing condemnation regarding the “murderous attack” on National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah. Terming the incident a cowardly act, Mir alleged that the attack was part of a deep-rooted conspiracy orchestrated by a militant identified as Kamal Singh. He characterized the attempt as a desperate move to stifle the voices of those advocating for democracy and justice in the region.Beyond the attack itself, the MLA raised serious alarms regarding the safety of high-profile leaders, pointing to a “grave security lapse” in the protection of a leader covered by the Special Security Group (SSG). Mir emphasized that if a protected individual is vulnerable to such threats, it reflects a significant failure in the existing security apparatus. He has formally urged the Lieutenant Governor to initiate a thorough, impartial investigation to uncover the full extent of the conspiracy and ensure that all perpetrators are held accountable.
