Mission Naxal-Mukt Bharat: DG CRPF Sets Firm March 31 Deadline for Naxal-Free Jharkhand

CHAIBASA, March 6, 2026 — Marking a critical milestone in the national security mandate, Director General of the CRPF, G. P. Singh, IPS, visited Forward Operating Base (FOB) Trilposi in the core Chaibasa region of Jharkhand to review operational readiness for the final offensive against left-wing extremism.

With the historic mission for a “Naxal-free Jharkhand” set for completion by March 31, 2026, the DG engaged in a high-level ‘Samvad’ with the troops, emphasizing an unwavering commitment to meeting the month-end deadline through sustained pressure in remaining insurgent pockets. Crucial to this final phase is a “Zero Casualty” strategy, with the DG mandating strict adherence to specialized protocols designed to detect and neutralize hidden IEDs, ensuring the safety of personnel during these high-stakes maneuvers.

Beyond tactical briefings, the visit focused on the morale and welfare of the force; Singh shared tea and informal moments with the bravehearts on the frontlines and planted a sapling at the camp to symbolize a transition toward a peaceful, green, and terror-free future for the state.
