Minister Javid Dar Prioritizes Development in Jammu Border Areas During Public Outreach
JAMMU, MARCH 10, 2026 — In a proactive step toward regional development, Javid Ahmad Dar, the Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development, and Panchayati Raj, conducted an extensive public outreach session at the Civil Secretariat today.
Meeting with several public delegations, the Minister focused on the unique challenges faced by residents in the Union Territory’s sensitive border regions. A key delegation, led by former Sarpanch Naresh Kumar Bittu, presented a detailed briefing on the pressing needs of Suchetgarh, Arnia, and R.S. Pura.
Their demands centered on the urgent modernization of road infrastructure, the augmentation of animal husbandry facilities, and the strengthening of agricultural support systems, which are vital to the livelihoods of those living near the international border.
