Minister Javed Ahmed Rana Meets Public Delegations in Jammu; Orders Time-Bound Resolution of Grievances
JAMMU, December 30: Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment, and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, hosted a series of public delegations and individuals today to address a wide spectrum of regional concerns.
The meetings, held in Jammu, featured representatives from various sectors, including land donors for the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department, daily wagers, and a delegation from Block Nagrota led by DDC Member Shamim Begum. These groups brought forth long-standing issues regarding service matters, land compensation, and the urgent need for improved civic amenities, seeking the Minister’s direct intervention for speedy redressal.
During the interactions, specific administrative and social concerns were raised, including a plea from Retired Colonel Rashid Ahmed regarding administrative norms and a request from the PET Society J&K.
The society highlighted the critical need for a consistent and uninterrupted water supply for the Darul Salam Children Home in Sopore. Furthermore, contractors working under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) met with the Minister to request the immediate release of pending payments for completed projects.
These diverse grievances highlighted the necessity for streamlined communication between the government and its executing agencies to maintain project momentum.In response, Minister Javed Ahmed Rana issued on-the-spot directives to the concerned departmental officers, mandating that all genuine cases be examined and resolved within strictly defined timelines.
He emphasized that the Omar Abdullah-led administration prioritizes a transparent and accountable governance system where no legitimate public concern goes unattended. By ordering close coordination between stakeholders and officials, the Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to delivering justice and essential services to the citizens of Jammu and Kashmir effectively.
