Military Hospital Secunderabad Enhances Patient Care with Generous E-Cart Donation

SECUNDERABAD, March 18, 2026 — In a heartening gesture of philanthropy and institutional support, Military Hospital (MH) Secunderabad recently accepted the donation of a specialized e-cart to bolster its internal logistics and patient transport services.

The eco-friendly vehicle was generously contributed by Colonel SK Mukherjee and Mukherjee in loving memory of Mukherjee’s parents—the late Colonel SK Mitra, VSM, a distinguished Senior Anaesthesiologist of the Army Medical Corps, and Aruna Mitra.

This contribution serves as a lasting tribute to a family legacy deeply rooted in the traditions of the Indian Army’s medical fraternity, aiming to simplify mobility within the expansive hospital campus.

The e-cart was officially received by the Commandant of MH Secunderabad, Brigadier Vishal Vir Sharma, SM, during a brief ceremony where he expressed the hospital’s sincere appreciation for the family’s commitment.

By integrating this electric vehicle into daily operations, the hospital expects to see a marked improvement in operational efficiency and seamless service delivery, particularly for elderly patients and those with restricted mobility.

This act of “strengthening institutional capabilities” through private contribution underscores the strong bond between the veteran community and active-duty medical facilities, ensuring that the spirit of service continues to benefit the troops and their families for years to come.
