Military Hospital Meerut Hosts Equine Therapy Session for Asha School Children on World Autism Awareness Day
MEERUT April 11, 2026 :- In a heartwarming initiative to mark World Autism Awareness Day, Military Hospital Meerut organized a specialized Equine Therapy session at the RVC Centre and College for the students of Asha School. Under the theme “Healing through connection, strength through care,” the event focused on utilizing interaction with horses to foster emotional bonding, improve sensory integration, and build self-confidence among the children.
This therapeutic approach is widely recognized for its ability to provide unique sensory feedback and emotional support to individuals on the autism spectrum, offering a meaningful path toward empowerment and holistic healing.The session was an initiative led by Brig Vikram Patra and saw the participation of Maj Gen Sumit Rana, GOC HQ PUPSA, who attended the event to interact with the children and their parents.
Maj Gen Rana praised the efforts of the medical and veterinary teams for creating an inclusive environment that prioritizes the well-being of special children.
