Mega awareness cum loan mela held at upper Madha in Chenani, Udhampur
Udhampur 27 November :- The J&K Women`s Development Corporation organized a Mega Awareness camp Cum loan Mela at panchayat Ghar , Upper Madha ,w.no. 3 Tehsil Chenani district udhampur on 27th ,November 2025 with an aim to sencitize the women about the schemes being implemented by various departments.
The camp was sponsored by National Backward classes, Finance and Development Corporation (NBCFDC),Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, GOI,New Delhi. The large number of women of the village and nearby villages attended the camp.
The Chief Guest of the programme was MLA Chenani -Ghordi Balwant Singh Mankotia. The programme was initiated with a welcome note by Pooja Jamwal. The District Manager of J&K Women`s Development Corporation, Rifat Kamar highlighted various schemes being implemented by JKWDC for upliftment of women economically viza viz NBCFDC ,NMDFC. NHFDC,Education loan.
The sponsoring NBCFDC scheme was discussed at large.The District Manager requested the women to come forward and take the benefits of the schemes to empower themselves financially. The spokespersons of other departments who attented the camp and shared their schemes on the occasion were from Social welfare dept.,Health dept.One stop centre ,Hub for women Empowerment and NRLM.
Besides schemes the issues like Beti Bachao,Beti Padhao,Female Feticide, Swach Bharat Abhiyan,Health,Nutrition etc.were also discussed. The Social Worker Nisha Devi, Pooja Devi, Anish Pandoh, Rajesh Jamwal and Jai chand were also present.
The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Kamran Bhatti.
