Major consignment of polythene bags Seized by Police at Budgam Rly Stn

Budgam 12 December :- The Railway Wing of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, in close coordination with the Pollution Control Board, Kashmir, has successfully intercepted a major consignment of polythene bags at Budgam Railway Station. A total of 698 sacks, each weighing approximately 25 kilograms, were recovered from an incoming parcel train.

Preliminary verification indicates that the consignment had been loaded in Delhi and was intended for illegal sale and distribution in Srinagar. The entire shipment has been seized as part of the enforcement action.

A formal police investigation is underway to identify those involved in the transportation and intended circulation of the banned material. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
